Commission: I was commissioned by Joanne Gilchrist, founder of God for Kids App, to produce an animated cartoon version of her saying a prayer to be used within the App. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Joanne on this project. She naturally has a fun and approachable personality with everyone and especially kids. My aim was to capture some of her into this short animation and I’m pleased to say that she is thrilled with the final result.
Below is my storyboard followed by my development work in creating my illustrated cartoon version of Joanne. These are the examples I sent to Joanne and by keeping her informed with my progress I was was able to receive feedback from her until we got the character version of her right and ready before animating.
